When I announced the Town of Bedford’s target of reducing carbon emissions of 20% by the year 2020, I thought about how much work there was ahead for our community. Every report on global warming that I read seemed dire and the task ahead of us daunting.  But, if we start with a few simple things, we can – collectively – make a big impact!   In the Green Page section of the Town of Bedford’s website, our Energy Advisory Panel has compiled a multitude of easy and basic steps we can take as a community.  You may not be able to do everything, but you do have to do something.

The Town Board and I are fully committed to this effort and hope you’ll visit the green page often for updates.  It will be engaging, productive, fun, but most importantly, it will help make our community more energy efficient and healthier for future generations.
